Typhoon Pants Men Kalamata

My first time using my first pair of these rain pants was on a 17 day hike across northern England. I zipped and unzipped the legs on these a lot. After the 2nd day the side zipper on the right leg kept getting stuck and eventually came off the track. I was finally able to get it rezipped but it would no longer unzip. Revolution Race did replace the pants and I'll be using them again soon. They were waterproof and I really like the fit and feel but I'm concerned about the quality of the zipper.

Bit dubious about the size especially leg length but these are a perfect fit both on the waist and in leg length which has the bottoms just resting on my boot tops. My inside leg is 31”. As over trousers they are comfortable and not baggy. Fabric seems a bit thicker than I expected. Zips look strong and the trousers pack up small but it is not clear how they are supposed to park away into their own pocket without screwing then up so I haven’t bothered.

When it comes to size, I’m top-end medium, low-end large: on the cusp if you like. I went for large with the Typhoon, and that was bang on. These are over-trousers, but what I like is , there’s no bagginess; they’re fitted with pockets and a fly zip. Good colours too. I went for blue, a change from the usual black option. These are a superb light-weight option.

The waterproof value of these trousers was spot on but I returned them due to the fact they were faulty. I ended up replacing with cyclone trousers which are more suitable for my needs. These trousers are very lightweight and as a result do not fair well touching even mildly abrasive surfaces. I’d say they are for dog walkers rather than avid hikers who are moving over varied terrain. I have to point out that the customer service I received, and continue to receive from RR, is exceptional.

Excellent item, light and comfortable!

Very lightweight and nice looking overtrousers, withstood an hour of cycling in quite heavy rain, so I'd love to keep them - if they were better designed. I put them on over my other Revolution Race pants and even though I ordered the same size, I found the Typhoons about 10cm shorter, ending up with wet pants sticking out and wet socks. On top of this, a long zip slider snapped on first use. On closer inspection, they turned out to be outrageously poor quality. Unreliable equipment. Returned for a refund.
