Great fleece! A simple baselayer, this, and a decent down jacket is all you need for -40DegF in Minnesota. 10/10 would buy again. In fact, I did. Bought one for my wife as well and the hoody version for myself. Great gear all around here at RR.

Fit is good. Length is good. Bought 3 in the last month for my wife and I.
Like all RR race apparel, fit varies to user. It seems to run very slim/athletic, which I like to find due to my (and her's) body type, which, to be honest is flattering at 57. But it also keeps us working to stay in shape! Customer service interaction has been great when we had one order "lost" in the logistics chain.

Comfortable and stylish
These jackets are very well made and comfortable. I ordered 2XL which is my normal size, I am 1.95m tall and sleeve length is just ok. The stretch panels only just cover my elbows and the thumb holes are close to being uncomfortable.
Probably a 3XL would have been a better fit.
I have worn on a couple of hikes now and found them quite breathable on top of RVRC bamboo base layers, and even under RVRC cyclone rescue jacket.
If you are not over 6 feet tall then I think you will be fine on sizes
