The Aphex Pro Pants are our toughest shell pants designed for extreme conditions. They are made with our completely water- and windproof membrane, Hypershell® Pro, and features excellent ventilation and a durable shell fabric. All trims and details are chosen to withstand the roughest weather conditions, all zippers are YKK® Vislon/Aquaguard, and exposed areas are reinforced. The pants are equipped with zippered thigh ventilation and Recco® reflectors for searchability in emergencies. The lower legs are expandable with zippers for an optimal fit over ski- or hiking boots, and the waist is adjustable with Velcro. The Aphex Pro are a pair of incredibly versatile shell pants; wear them for expeditions all year round or as a technical alpine ski shell during winter.

These feel very well made and I like the pockets. They're pretty big in the waist but I need the room in the thighs so didn't want to return them in case the XLs are too tight. I've just put a belt on them so they're ok. A fully-elasticated waist with velcro adjustment would be better though. I could have done with the legs being an inch or two longer but I'm mostly wearing them with boots so that's ok too.
