Still haven't got the chance to use these pants on hike. The material feels soft, light, elastic and thin enough for the summer but the layer at the bottom of the pants is extremely stiff. So the pants wrinkle where soft and light material combines with stiff one. I'm not sure if it will soften with time. Probably would be nice to have phone pockets as well.

This is my third pair of RR trousers. I really like these lighter zip off trousers. Excellent cut and size. Added bonus of zips all along the lower leg. Very flexible and will be ideal for walks when temperatures rise and you need to switch to to shorts. Recommend.

Extremely versatile zip-off trousers. They are light enough to be worn in warm weather and windproof for cooler days. The material is light but feels strong, with a little stretch in it. Quality-wise, these are streets ahead of the trousers I looked at in high street outdoor stores, and only better pair I own are from Fjallraven which were 4x the price. Only small negatives are that ankles are a little too elasticated and end up quite bunched up; also I would like them to have one more pocket.

Trousers are very practical and comfortable and I have been out walking my dog in the hills around where I live in Portugal, I would recommend them to anyone. I had 2 prs of North Face same style and they served me well for the last 12 years, and at last I have found their replacement!!

I have worn these out on several hikes in what the Irish like to call summer, I.e. Mixed conditions. I found the T-zip trousers comfortable and very practical.
