Clothes for trail running

For trail running, you’ll need clothing that balances protection, breathability, and performance. Here are the essentials: 

• Headwear: A breathable, lightweight cap protects against sunburn, while a sweat-wicking headband can keep hair and moisture under control. 

• Upper body: Wear a moisture-wicking, quick-drying shirt as a base layer. In cooler or wetter conditions, add a lightweight, windproof, or waterproof jacket. 

• Lower body: Opt for stretchy, water-resistant running shorts with a zip-up pocket for small items. In colder weather, running tights made from technical fabrics are ideal for warmth without bulk. 

• Accessories: Ankle-high technical socks prevent trail debris from entering your shoes, and a vest pack with hydration storage keeps water and essentials handy.
